IHCA-NJ

Mission Statement

The Indian Heritage and Cultural Association of NJ (IHCA-NJ) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to promoting local talent in performing arts while fostering cultural awareness and social change through theater, dance, and music.

We strive to preserve and celebrate South Asian culture by providing a creative and inclusive platform for artists to express themselves freely, without barriers of language, theme, or censorship.

Beyond the arts, IHCA-NJ is committed to raising awareness and supporting social causes, including women’s empowerment, diversity and inclusion, mental health, human trafficking, immigration, and LGBTQ+ rights.

Through our signature events—Natya Darpan, Nritya Darpan, and Sangeet Darpan—we bring communities together, nurture talent, and spark meaningful conversations that uplift voices and inspire change.

With over 650 local artists and consistently sold-out performances, IHCA-NJ continues to build bridges across cultures, proving that the arts transcend barriers of language and identity. Our vision is to create a more connected, informed, and empathetic society through the performing arts.

Join us in shaping a vibrant artistic community that transcends boundaries and fosters unity.
